My First Passion

No matter what, I need to read. I didn't run today, but I started a new book recently, Home by Marilynne Robinson, and I'm sliding into a world where I belong. At work someone asked me about a couple books I had with me, and I described them with a passion and knowledge that I don't describe anything else at work. Reading is truly my first love. Unfortunately, I read about 13 books this summer, and it didn't cure me of what ailed me in life. Nonetheless, it was still very cool. With this in mind, I plan on reading, but I need to temper the amount of reading I do with a good dose of knitting or needlepoint- a world of color and texture. Also I'll add a healthy dose of movies based on Jane Austen novels or Shakespeare plays, a little So You Think You Can Dance, Orioles Baseball, and Iron Chef, and 2010 is shaping up to be a year to look forward to.
